I just saw this and I think I might have to rearrange my top 5 movies of 2007 list. Christian Slater plays Bob. Bob works at an office, in a cubicle and he hates his job. Every day a couple of minutes before lunch he takes a revolver out of his desk drawer and loads it while muttering deaththreats to his coworkers under his breath. Then he unloads the gun, goes outside and eats a sandwich while daydreaming that the entire office-building explodes. He doesn't have any friends and his neighbours don't really like him. When he gets home he feeds his fish(who can talk btw) and writes suicide-letters.
It's a quiet, peaceful and utterly miserable existence but Bob gets by alright. Until one day when, just before lunch-time, another disgruntled employee, Coleman, pulls out a gun and shoots down several people in the office. So Bob shoots him. After all the excitement is over Bob gets cheered as a hero and is promoted to "VP of Creative Thinking" on the the top floor. And he lives happily ever after. The end. Not. The movie is just getting started. And although it starts out in a pretty darkly funny way, it gets properly fucked up and disturbing by the end. Highly recomended.

It was ok. Average really. You could see from the start exactly where the story will move on to. Slater is good, but it doesn't compensate for the plainliness of the story.

That sounds like a pretty goddamned awesome premise / set-up for a story.

Except Milton doesn't get promoted. Agreed though, it's like a melding of two concepts from Office Space. It even has someone in a neckbrace.

Is there a german title for this movie? The description also reminded me of Office Space, which I can perfectly relate to, being a programmer myself. :cheeky:
Not that I have a gun in my office and relate to this movie as well. :p
