Probably true, to be honest I'm perfectly happy with my N95 which does everything I need from a mobile device at the moment.
There is nothing 'official' about the Hero2 yet - it is expected to be announced later this month so all I'm going on are rumours. But lets face it, the Hero is a fantastic phone so Hero2 is going to be likewise.

God you're irritating. Keep your N95. Better still, marry it.
And no, the Hero is not "fantastic". Its ok, good even. But I wouldn't be happy with it.

SenseUI, SenseHURGUR.
The SenseUI is a minor tweak.
It's also a bit of system hog, as I understand it. And if you can't live without it for some ridiculous reason, I'm fairly certain there are people on XDA working on porting it over to the N1.

Well the N1 and the Droid have got the pinch to zoom thing now - one of the iPhone "awesome" features that people were clamouring for and whining about. Its on the maps, gallery and browser for the N1 but only the map for Droid afaik. I'm used to tapping to zoom now tbh and I use my phone with one hand and my thumb, like they aimed for in the first place. Still, its nice to have for easy custom zooming.
I got a new great app - Gmote. Allows you to use your phone as remote control for the PC for playing music and video. Such a cool idea. I know iPhone has this for iTunes.

(
http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/14/samsung-i8520-halo-with-3-7-inch-super-amoled/) Something new for thefonz to put off buying a new phone for. Lack of a physical keyboard still puts me off (and I'd have to install a custom rom to get rid of the weird Bada-esque theme that they've slapped on top of Android), but damned if the 720p video and integrated projector isn't tempting.

Man fuck that Samsung.
Its all about Windows Mobile 7 today - now she is one well-endowed lady. I'd like to get my hands on her "ample nacelles," if you pardon the engineering parlance...
/Star Trek.

Good try. Either way its boring as fuck now.

Yeah, now I just feel bad for bumping this.
SubJeff on 21/2/2010 at 23:30
Well there have been a rash of new phones released recently. The HTC Legend seems to be the Hero successor and there are hella Android phones out.
Now if I could just get the Android Dev Kit working....

Hey SubjEff, now that you've had it for a while, how is the battery time? Also how is the standby time (assuming there have been days where you haven't really used it)? I'd guess with moderate use it wouldn't last very long, but I hope it can go for at least several days without recharging, as long as it's not really used apart from say 10 minutes of talking on the phone per day.
