Keep us updated with your impressions.
Will so. I've requested the free engraving so it won't be shipped til the weekend and I will likely only get it late next week due to work commitments and when I'll be able to pick it up.

That Engadget review of the Nexus One does not impress me...part of me keeps thinking about the HTC Hero.
Anyway, in other news the phone selection on 02 is fucking shite. My next phone will be BOUGHT and goddamn if it isn't one I love more than the Nokia N95 8GB.

You are without doubt the most fickle poster ever. A few posts ago you were in LOVE with some other HTC phone, then you were all "[stuck in the 90s]Nexus will be mega[/stuck in the 90s]", now you're a Hero worshipper.
Make a choice get with the program :mad:
I've played with a friends Hero somewhat but I'll try to do so more in the run up to my Nexus One arriving so I can do a comparison. I'd love to compare with the Droid too but no one I know has one (mostly iPhone biatches).

Just wait. In a few weeks Motorola will announce their 'Superphone' entry, and thefonz will be all about that.

http://lukehutch.wordpress.com/2010/01/05/the-cheap-way-to-pay-for-a-nexus-one-think-tco/) A cost analysis of the stand-alone Nexus One vs. getting it subsidized. In short: Even if you're already on T-Mobile, get the standalone because you can get a cheaper T-mo plan.
[edit2]Wired is seriously complaining about the PC synch process? It's the same process
every Android phone uses, and it takes like two seconds. They're making it sound like it's some painful ass chore they have to do.

Well there is some delay on the order. My bank seems to have flagged the credit card transaction as ??Fraud so I've had to contact them to clear things up.
In other news the PKD foundation are planning to sue Google over the use of the name Nexus One:

I doubt PKD himself would have cared. He probably would have just dropped some acid and come to the conclusion that its pretty cool really, what with the Android OS running on a Nexus One and how things come around because we are all of one consciousness, life is only a dream, and we're just an im

hahahaha and this is why PKD was the best author of the 20th century
