I got thief3ed and in the installation doc it said copy T3MainOptVersion.exe OVER T3Main.exe after i extract it in the thief3 directory. SO im guessing that means just delete T3Main.exe, when i do that as i expected the game won't even start. When I DONT delete it and try to run a pre-made map from the editor i get the famous error loading scrren. ALSO in the install document it says to run thief3ed by clicking T3Ed.exe. I did did that and I got an error message saying start up thief3 normally with the -editor parameter, and thats the only way i can start the editor now.

Did you rename T3MainOptVersion.exe to T3Main.exe? Sorry if that's a stupid question. Just wanted to be sure.:erg:

Then the install document is wrong... running "t3.exe -editor" is how you start the editor.

The install document is correct on that point, on the wiki at least. Still, I think it needs tidying up - plenty of scope for confusion still.

The self installing editor package. Make sure you are using a resume capable download application....it's big.

Be warned, it is geared towards the classic Thief look and gameplay. If you want things to behave like the original editor release, you're on your own to restore it. I released this package to the community...as is...love it or leave it. ;)
