You need to be insanely close to target incinerate properly - as in, almost touching distance. That confused me for a while...

Doesn't telekinesis work with incinerate?
Also, I never noticed that the speed spell stacks, that might help as it affects your attack rate and running away (typical mage behavior--tatical withdraw).
I agree with above, fireball seems to be your best chance if you have enough points in magic. Other magics like time slow or slow target(rhaa movis) may help you if you got the mana points.
Does the fireball spell do more damage when you let it power up and float through the air or is it the same amount as ramming your target with your fball out?
To me it seems the same.

Use the curse spell on them. They can hit you without taking much damage because it lowers all of their stats.

Isn't it hard to cast spells whilst in a frantic battle. Can someone explain how to allocate short keys to specific spells, so that in combat i could just press f2 and a fireball would shoot out at opponents. I don't fancy drawing tho'se runes in the air as some creature sinks its teeth into my skull

Look in your manual.
Sammy, sammy sammy, you're not a warez dude are ye?
sammy22 on 28/3/2004 at 15:29
Having purchased the game over 1 half years ago, I know longer have the manual, and despite trying to figure it out for myself the system could inevitibly have been more simplistic in it's sophistication, style and elements used.
As for "youre not a warez due are you"? What do you mean?
All I can think of is that you mean "your not the type of person who wants where everything is explaining to them.
I'm from the UK, I haven't a clue what your insinuating.

Alright, sorry if that was below the belt, but it can appear when a guy has many questions that could easily be answered by looking in the manual, that he has a pirated (warez) version w/o manual.
Right, to memorize a spell do the actions, but before releasing ctrl press & hold shift then release ctrl. Then use keys 1, 2, 3 to use the memorized spells.
BTW Those weird looking things around the place are teleporters, you'll need a to activate them with a spell.
This game might be tough without a manual.

Thanks, I understand the game itself, and so didn't think that not having the manual would be too much of a problem. I remember for UW2 when I lost the manual for that, and it was disastrious as all the spells and runes combinations were only listed in there.
At least all the spells, and the runes that comprise them are featured in your spellbook. Having said that i've only got enough runes for 3 spells so far, so there is plenty of work for me to do.!!!
As for the pirate copy, well i'm afraid I did indeed buy the game, I don't trust pirate copies, they often don't work, or have some drawbacks. I bought the game on the first day it came out, and therefore paid rather a lot of money for it. At least some 2 years on i'm starting to see some return on my investment.............
