Interpret mine BrokenArts!!
I sometimes dream I can speak Spanish. I hate waking up to the knowledge that I can't. I tried learning once but gave up after a week (then I went to Taiwan and learnt some Mandarin, which is far, far easier).
I love and hate that dream.
StD - formal dream interpretation may be a crock, but there is no denying that dreams have a definite link to real world events. I can usually tell why I've dreamt about something. You?

No offence, but isn't this generalised dream interpretation stuff acknowledged as bullshit?
Who cares, dreams are interpreted in our own ways. If you read up enough on dream explanation, and their meanings, correlate them to your own dreams, and your life events, take it how will.
Lesser will take that anyway she wants it. There is no concrete *yes* this is thewayithastobe or else, written in stone. It's FUN to try an analyze dreams, you call it bullshit, I call it fun. It is a suggestion, a hypothesis to her dream.

Only thing I could find Subject was on language. You can read it here.

You know, I have used this site before, on a number of dreams of mine, it's fun to read what they possibly might mean. Some of it is *damn* that's pretty good. Generalized or not, it's fun, keep an open mind, you never know.

I often have dreams where I'm simply reading a book, for what seems like a very long time. I swear I am reading printed words, sentences, chapters, plots, characters, all making sense, which my brain is apparently making up as I go. Sort of writing and reading at the same time. Although I can never remember the content of the book after I wake up, I have the persistant feeling of having experienced a coherent, structured text. Did I? Or did I just dream that it made sense?
I've heard it said that you can't read in dreams because reading comprehension and dreaming come from two different hemispheres, but I suspect that's a load of crap. I often read in dreams, although I too sometimes have trouble remembering exactly what I read afterward. Complicated things like books and music just don't retain well after the fact, but I can clearly recall simpler things like streetsigns, advertisements, ect. I think that's just the standard difficulty remembering dreams, perhaps complicated by the fact that reading takes a bit more brainpower in the first place. Communication between different parts of the brain might be a bit wonky during sleep (dreaming > reading > memory), but it's clearly still working to some degree. Otherwise you'd probably be a right-brained Rainman in all your dreams.
