Have you ever had a dream that immediately after you wake up half way through(as you always do) you have the most joyous feeling you have ever experienced??? I did last night the subject of the dream is a bit embarrassing(no it didn't involve sex well sorta) but i woke up feeling the most joyous ecstatic happy feeling I think I have ever felt in my life that lasted for all of 5 minutes until reality crept back..
Plainly weird the way chemicals in your brain make up such things and it's makes you wonder about life, death and life in general...

Yeah I had such dreams. Most of the time I wake up thinking (and sometimes saying) "Shit!" though. Most of the time I'm late.
Friday night I dreamt someone jumped in front of the commuters train I take every day. It actually happened before and I remember thinking about how ignorant it was. Though it's understandable. I hate that train too.
They usually blame it on an "engine failure" when the train arrives too late but sometimes they call it "accidental bodily injury".
Yeah right, like the none of the people waiting at the station on a dark and rainy morning in January had ever thought of taking the step. But I wouldn't want to hear them say "Another suicide!" either.

I think someone should look up nocturnal emissions.
Edit: Waiting for matrix quotes/pictures to show up because of the title.

When my cat disappeared I used to dream he'd returned. I'd be so happy until I woke up. Then I'd very unhappy. That really sucked.

Me too! For about 3 years. :erm:
I hate dreams. In fact I hate sleeping but my damn body needs it. Phooey.

The best dream I had for a while (well, not best but most vivid) was one where I dreamt that I had woken up late, missing everything important that I was meant to get up for.
When I actually did wake up (earlier than I needed to), it felt like it was afternoon and that the time I'd spent in the dream had actually elapsed although obviously I realised that I hadn't actually woken up late.

Does anyone get weird time effects in dreams? Several times I have had dreams that seemed to take far longer than the actual time I was asleep, notably a few days ago I napped for an hour during the day and had a dream that I swear took days.

I dreamt last night I found a boxed copy of XCOM: UFO Defense at the store for five dollars.
Too bad it wasn't real.
