I made several conlangs in my teens and early 20s. It was one of my favourite hobbies, got pretty good at it. You'll never learn as much about linguistics as when you actually attempt to create a language

Yea I was totally even constructing my own alphabet when I was in my Jr/Sr years of high school, and as I recall it was really just to throw a fit about how the phonetics of the English language didn't make enough sense to me or some shit. But as I recall, the phones (yes I used that word) were dumb anglo-saxon shit and the glyphs were just Greek looking pieces of little dumbshit Western psycho letter looking things that didn't look good. And I don't recall exactly why I invented that shit language other than that I was apparently autistic then or something (I'm not autistic).
EDIT: But that's not the language I was referring to when I said in original post that I invented a language, just to be clear. More on that language laterz. But thank you Azaran I'm getting ready to scroll up and read this...

Well on the topic of ConLangs, yeah. I threw some my notes for my ConLang (

It's a mix of Chickasaw/Cherokee grammar (conjugated verb head with prefixes & suffixes to signal the predicates), Arabic/Hebrew verb roots, and Japanese conjugations and particles. The writing system is a kind of mix of Arabic, Hindi, and Japanese. Fun project!
