That was pretty much my experience with Fallout 3, which I enjoyed greatly. Just wandering in the Wasteland, finding bits and pieces of lore, remnants of the past, while killing mutants, bandits and whatever. I even enjoyed exploring the metro, which was almost completely made of prefab tunnel pieces. If I ever get around playing Skyrim, it will be that way, for that reason, probably.
If you ever get around to FO4, you're in for a treat. On the downside, they stripped out pretty much any semblance of cRPG mechanics, but it's easily the most interesting world they've built so far.

The Fall is apparently the worst game I've played to completion. I would have probably given that award to Machine For Pigs or Dear Esther.
For a second there I thought you meant (
https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/06/20/the-fall-game-review/) The Fall which is a pretty damn good sci-fi adventure, then I realised you were talking about the Deus Ex mobile outing, which I've not heard good things about. I'd say if someone bought
The Fall by accident thinking it was DX:TF, they'd be pretty pleased nonetheless.

The worst game, in my own opinion, played to completion, is kind of a weird metric. I don't always finish games I
like, nevermind ones I don't. I guess I'd nominate
Western Outlaw: Wanted Dead or Alive, which is almost objectively terrible but I still found charming with its strangely realistic gun animations. He actually
uncocks any cocked hammers before putting a firearm away. I'd never seen that before in a video game. Strange to have it in a game that is otherwise quarter-baked.
EDIT: Or maybe
Banner Saga. It's got some very nice art and writing and even some cool animations, but it's also got a lot of bad writing, and virtually all the components of the gameplay - from the dialog "puzzles" (if you have 4 choices and one of them is hands down better than the other three, that's fundamentally a
puzzle), to the resource management, to the battles themselves - are just awful.

DX: The Fall is downright excellent on mobile. It just shouldn't have been ported to PC (or should've gotten an overhaul in the process). I'm sad it never got a sequel.
Anyway, haven't played from MC top 30:
Any GTA
Any Baldur's Gate / Icewind whatever
Civ II
Company of Heroes
Minecraft
Homeworld
Star Wars anything except Podracer
CoD anything except the demo for 2
The Sims
Witcher 3 (but I can't wait to get my hands on it)

Oooh, I've played (TO COMPLETION) #16, Rogue Warrior, the Mickey Rourke FPS/swearing-sim. Iiiiit waaas terrrible. Worth finishing just for (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsusJVaAWf8) the end credits tho. Also played and finished #70, Driv3r, which I liked!

henke, I suspect you've played loads of the 'worst' game list and adored most of them. ;)
