As the title says.
They talk about it like you should try but I've never seen a way without turning it into a firefight of some kind.
But playing through again using the Complete mod, I spotted a way that might work. I couldn't be arsed waiting around until dark to try it (and probably fail ten times before I got there)
Anyone given it a go? And, can you get away clean?

If there wasn't the bug (or feature) of being instantly spotted by all nearby enemies after load, even when they can't physically see you, it would be perfectly possible at night, when there is far less guards in there. And without save/load I think you should be VERY lucky to not be spotted in the process.

Out of sheer thankfulness that the game doesnt force sneaky crap on me i never tried. Plus if i imagine sneaking this misson a picture arises in my mind : The marked one frozen in a sneaking motion surrounded by a couple dozen soldiers in the middle of a wide open space while 5 spotlights shine at him :cheeky:
Should be possible to get into the building but isnt there always some dude standing right in the room with the case?

If the map is to be believed, there should be a total of like 5 soldiers in the base at night. So it might be very doable.

I got inside the main building undetected once ... in broad daylight. But I guess it was mostly luck. Did it a few times at night though, so it's certainly doable. However, inside the building, it was always run&gun.

I've done it. Go in at night and avoid going in via the sewers. Instead go around the wall, right the way around to the back where the wall is broken. From there you can sneak into the building through the back window, climb to the top, killing any guards with Bes' silenced AKSU (or the PB9 if you really want). After you grab the docs, go to the roof, climb down the ladder and back out the way you came in.

I went there several times at night, and always found a lot more than five soldiers. But I've never tried sneaking in, because I do want to kill all the soldiers and get their guns and other possessions :cheeky:

I made it in and out without triggering the alarm from the sewer entrance. Sneaked into the building (hairy timing) and took out the guards inside with a suppressed pistol. If you aren't spotted (take the guards down when they're alone) and always get headshots it is possible. Left through the back, which would have been easier coming in than the sewer.

Why people think there should be no more than 5 soldiers at night? The map clearly shows more than that.

My first time playing I sneaked, from the sewer entrance, into the building and got all the way to the suitcase at night. Once I killed the guy near the case all bets were off however! I ran up to the roof top, killed a couple of soilders and then ran out where the wall was broken at the back, all in the dead of night with a storm raging. It was my favourite moment from my first playthrough.:thumb:
I have not been able to sneak in since though.
