That is really revolting.
I can understand that a lot of people don't like the series, but what kind of sad bastard gets kicks from ruining it for those that do?
Mr.Duck on 27/7/2007 at 01:29
Finished it in two days.
Loved it.
I must agree it did feel at times a wee bit slow
with all the solo time the trio got during their search for the Horcruxes.
Other than that, loved it. Yes, the epilogue too. Made me a bit sad to see that it's over. Yes, J.K. Rowling can revive it, if they resucitated Superman, anything's possible. But I think it wouldn't be right, for all practical purposes, IMHO, the series is ended and closed with a fitting end.
Lets see if the two last H.P. movies are fitting and worthy enough.

JKR did a good job in some things.
I liked how she didn't let the funny ones live, Fred for example and George's ear cut off. She wasn't willing to make all the good people live like in some books/movies.
I read the book and is was simply amazing.

Definitely the weakest out of the seven, but not without its charms.
My god she is is a clumsy writer, though. Children's lit indeed.

The book definitely could have done without the epilogue. As for her being a 'clumsy writer' I completely agree. She can tell a good story, but she can't actually write one if you know what I mean.
Oh, and I loathed the first third of the book. It was far too slow.

Great ending to the story! J.K.R.'s writing has definitely developed over the course of the series. Glad I'm not the only 'adult' around here who reads these...
Next, try 'The Last Apprentice' by Joseph Delaney if you like dark, creepy, morbid children's lit.

The Seventh Book was definitly my favourite, but
I was REALLY expecting Harry to die, although i did think J.K Rowling put up a good story for keeping him alive. I think that the people who died in the book were nessasary EXCEPT Hedwig. I mean Harry's life sucks already and they kill off his Owl? That was cold.
The Three coolest parts in HP7:
(Going from Least to Best)
3. Saving Draco Malfoy from the Fiendfyre on broomsticks
2. Escaping from Gringotts on a Dragon
1. Neville Beheading Nagini in midair with the Sword of Gryffindor
Too all you who say 700 pages, do you have some weird version? Mine was just over 600.
There were two things I didn't understand:
How did dumbledore defeat grindelwald if grindelwald had the elder wand?
and
I thought harry could be seen under his cloak. Didn't the disguised nagini (as bertha bagshot) see harry beneath the cloak? Or had he taken it off at this point? One thing I seem to remember though, is that barty crouch (jr), disguised as moody, saw harry underneath his cloak, with his magical eye. This doesn't seem to make sense, as in the book it basically says it was impenetrable to all forms of detection. Unless crouch looked at the marauders map or something though? I can't actually remember.
