Hi, Im a long time player of System Shock and Im trying to beat this game at the two highest difficulties. The current game I have started is in hard mode. Im right at the start of engineering.
My stats are
Strength 2
Endurance 2
Agility 2
Standard weapons 3
Hack 2
OS Upgrades:
Lethal Weapon (have)
Plan to get
The one that increases hypos 20%
One that decreases nanite costs
Agility... maybe tank or the modules
I'd like to know what skills i should be trying to get and what just isn't feasibe with the increased module cost, and if endurance is worth it.
One last question: Is the assault rifle and/or crystal shard worth the cost?

Standard and Strength are worth the extra costs. I wouldn't go for the Shard unless you plan to go melee only, since you need to get Research 3 (+ LabAssistant implant) and Exotic 1 in order to use it.
It wouldn't hurt investing more in Agility and Endurance, by the way. But don't go crazy, skill 3 or 4 would be enough.

Ok, thank you.

Impossible has a timelimit, right? Has anyone ever seen what happens when time is up? (Never been patient enough to wait :D )
Maybe some cool cutscene or something like that?
(edit)
Arg, just saw you're talking about ss2

It is rather obvious that he was talking about SS2.

On Impossible the OS upgrade 'Tank' becomes very useful as you've very few hitpoints and Endurance only gives you a couple more for each level.

i may get screamed at for this, but impossible is NOT that difficult. just be sure to double and triple check every corner, garbage can, desk and drawer for every med hypo and piece of ammo you can get your hands on. just be patient. dont run through it.
and what timer????
D'Arcy on 10/1/2008 at 09:49
The timer refers to the original System Shock, not SS2. At the maximum plot setting, System Shock has a seven hour limit to finish the game.

It's not difficult unless you are doing it wrench only or psi only.
