OK then, must be single, yeah?
Nah. With this face?

Whatever. Hooked up or not, with that attitude, you probably didn't get lay one thrown your way.
Me? I didn't get laid last night (too cold), but I did touch a boob.

Viv is right, though: Valentine's Day is utter horseshit. I approve of special occasions in which you let your significant other know how much he or she means to you, but using Valentine's Day as the catalyst is pretty amateur. Flowers and a night out are easier to arrange and ultimately more meaningful if done any other day of the year.
On the other hand, those conversation hearts are delicious!

Sure, I guess by some definitions I could consider it horeshit. But truthfully, what other day of the year do a whole bunch of random people decide to shower you with candy for no good reason?
...besides Halloween, of course. But then you have to go out to get your candy. Valentines day, it all comes to you.

My experience of relationships is they are simply a disease and are danger wrapped in darkness and silence.
I spent Valentines Day yesterday getting bombarded with texts from people wishing me a "Happy Valentines". FUCK. THAT. I got drunk on Saturday night with some fellow single folks, hit the bars of London HARD and spent Sunday asleep with a hangover so strong a passing herd of elephants felt sorry for us.
Oh, and this is how we party in London these days:

Bankers. First they ruin the economy, then they rub it in our faces by not dancing stylishly.

Pretty much. While I certainly don't disagree with the celebration of Valentine's Day (obviously), I do agree that you shouldn't buy flowers or take your girl out or whatnot
only on that day. If you plan to be in any sort of meaningful relationship, that sort of thing should be happening far more than once a year.
