I am really pleased to see that there are some happily married guys on here.
We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on Valentine's day. I married my soulmate and I thank my lucky stars that we are together.
I was one had to start over at 40 and I dreaded the thought of having to go through the dating process again after being with my ex for 18 years. I feel very fortunate that things just seemed to fall into place and I met my (future) husband a year after I was out on my own. We match in so many ways and work as a team. We just get along so well and I feel content for the first time in my life. He helps me around the house, does dishes and vacuums and I don't have to ask. It is so nice to have such a good partnership and I am very grateful.
Congratulations Angel Dust. If you would like to post photos of the wedding than by all means make a thread. There are several who have posted their wedding photos. (

The idea is that by the end of the day, you're not single any more.
Another excuse for support of prostituion!

I like to celebrate the V-day by watching and playing horrors.

Great friends for about 2 years
Do I get this right? You all married your best friends?
I mean that's great, it just got me wondering. Whenever I tried to go out with friends it was kinda awkward and then quickly came to the point where one or both said: "Eh, t'was better before, let's just stay friends."

I ended up marrying the one who didn't find me completely repugnant.
...who's incidentally my high-school sweetheart. Granted she's number two, and there's a string of bastards out there somewhere...

I dunno... try to find a casual sex partner first, then turn her into your best friend, then marry her and if that won't work because it was better before, divorce but stay friends and if it won't work, go back to casual sex partnership? :erg:

Yes, it just doesn't sound like they started with casual sex.
