Thanks, N and UliB; I've gotten a little farther along.
Boy, I'm having the devil of a time ghosting the party room. For some reason, one of the girls always seems to spook, even when I'm in total darkness and behind her. I think this is a problem of some sort... I put out one lamp, then even if I do nothing else, about a minute later, she suddenly begins screaming "thief! thief!" -- and everyone makes a dash for the door.
Sigh. I need that loot... there's quite a lot of it in there.
Also, one of the crowns in the bathroom secret compartment doesn't seem to frob; at least, I can't get it to frob. Another irritation; it's probably worth a couple of hundred.

OK, I'm stuck... I've explored everything (expect rooms I don't have a key for) and I've done everything I can think of and Mrs Lambert still hasn't left the bathroom.
I even [SPOILER]broke open the door to the balcony then jumped over to Mr Lamberts balcony, picked the door and then got killed by a super sensitive haunt[/SPOILER]... I tried that several times and it never worked, so I'm guessing that's not the right thing to do...
I know I'm missing something. I read the posts above but they didn't help.

elfranche & Jitz - You need to [SPOILER]look for the lever I mentioned earlier that is in the bedroom nearest to the bathroom, on the landing above the main staircase. I'm not sure but I think that after you get into that secret section, Lady Lambert comes out to patrol. She's always seemed to appear after that point for me. Killing the haunt early shouldn't matter, I don't think but you need to find all 4 code scrolls to figure out the safe combination. One of them is in the secret room I mentioned above.[/SPOILER]
Dafydd, that tiara can be picked up.I've gotten each time I've played through. Try jumping a bit or moving a bit farther into the alcove.
I doubt that party room is ghostable, as the AI are very touchy, as you said. Knowing you, you'll keep trying, though. :)

ok I'm 110 short of the loot requirement on expert, i found the [SPOILER]secret in mrs lambert's bathroom[/SPOILER]
as for triggering mrs lambert:
[SPOILER]you have to have the 3 of 4 parts of the the code: Hendersen's, Marcus' and the other M guy's. I had found Marcu's first and then found hendersen and she didnt come out until i found the 3rd one's[/SPOILER]

Thanks, but I've already done what you mentioned. I even restarted thinking maybe it was a fluke.
I have 3 of the 4 codes, and have found 3 of the 5 secrets. I've been running around checking everything and everyone is unconcious (except that elusive Mrs Lambert, darn her).
I even managed to [SPOILER]finally kill the haunt, but it didn't help.[/SPOILER]
I'll tell you what, that Mrs Lambert sure does like taking a bath! :joke:
I really hope I don't need to start over again... :grr:

its not lambert's code you need, it's Mazarin

Okay, I ghosted the party room, Lambert's room with the haunt, and the safe with the statues; but I'm still short 330 gold (from the 3600 needed to finish) and also 2 of the 5 secrets.
Does anybody have a list of secrets? Or at least some of them? How about some hard-to-find loot?
