Scots, I swear, if you don't shut up about all the dishes you do, you're going to have to invite all TTLGers (or at least the Europeans) for dinner one of these days.

There isn't many things better than sitting down to a well cooked meal with your family, after a hard day's work and after the hard work you put in at the stove, it's a very satisfying experience.
THIS, FUCK YES.
Cooking and eating a good meal is the most cathartic thing I can think of right now. It's equal, if not superior to, finishing a good day of writing, getting a track exactly like it should sound, or realizing you've made significant progress in some other art form. In fact, it's one of the few artsy things that can be started and finished in under 1-2 hours, and you can enjoy the fruit of your labor immediately. Incredibly fulfilling, and the more you do it, the more skilled and nuanced you become.

I can't afford the air fare, not to mention the carbon footprint.
We could have a Virtual Pot Luck. I'll offer Peanut Butter Curry Chicken Soup.
chicken stock
non-mechanically de-boned chicken
veggies and taters
lots of curry and cumin, garlic and some hot sauce
more peanut butter than your doctor would recommend
spoon

The main benefit of fast food = not having to do the dishes
