I'm going to Queue's house for dinner tonight!
Something else people don't consider is taking half a day on Saturday or Sunday to cook 5-10 meals at once, put them in the freezer, bada-bing, bada-boom. Invest in a $35 crock pot or a $50 Ronco rotisserie and you can make food when you're not even home. I wonder how much of the fast food rush is simply due to lack of time and money management?

And you know what? I bet anything they come up with will be liked better than what schools serve now.
They weren't so fond of the sherry chicken.
Yeah... that chef almost went home over that.

Wait, what? He used sherry in a recipe for kids? :weird:

She. Yes. Apparently it didn't even taste good.

Wow. One has to wonder what she was thinking at the time she made that decision.

I use sherry and port all the time--a must for soups and sauces.
Queue Brand Quick Sauce:
2 cups water
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup port
tsp powdered ginger
tbs brown sugar
dash of garlic
dash of chives
dash of cilantro
couple dashes of Janes Mixed Up Season (or use celery salt).
Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Dilute about 3 tbs of corn starch with enough water to make it soupy and slowly stir into the sauce, adding until desired thickness.
Add pepper to taste. Serve over beef and rice, or stir fry.
But sherry and chicken? Nasty.

What is the deal with you westerners and soy? I'm going mad from the sheer number of recipes on the internet that have soy sauce.
