I just took a few controlled sips out of the bottle.
Silly rabbit, you're supposed to eat a big spoonful of Vegemite,
then wash it down with a shot of soy sauce.

It is knows better as a western trend. I tasted a couple of drops. My food never gets that salty.

Cuz when me and mah boyz go tailgatin at the Bulldogs game, we like drenching our chicken fried steak 'n taters 'n Pilaf all in Soy to maximize that motherfuckin umami. Sometimes, when ole Bill gets adventurous, he bakes up a batch of Naan bread for a good, hearty spread.
Indi-Asian cuisine: full on fuckin American.
But seriously, you're not eating it right. Put it on some basic fried rice before you judge it. Because soy is NOT meant to be eaten by itself.

I would really like to know what the hell country Kabatta is posting from. I've given up trying to guess who could be so equally clueless about both western and eastern cuisine.

Someone from the north or south, obviously.

...or the middle.
(arse end of the eastern bloc, sorry kabatta ;))

Before this year, it had been over thirteen years since I'd had anything from McDonalds. Then, one of my oldest daughter's IBI techs (she has autism) would take her there occasionally to play at the play place and have water. As autistic children do, she formed something of an obession about going there. Then she wanted hamburgers, and of course the Happy Meal toy... etc. Eventually it did become all about the toy.
The not-so-bad news about the whole thing is that she *did* start eating hamburgers, even home-cooked ones, when before she existed on a diet of applesauce with cottage cheese, pizza, chicken fingers, and yogurt. Now she's even eating salmon fillets. In other words, it did get her to branch out. And going there on occasion has (just like the commercials promised!) given us an opportunity for some "us" time away from the mass of children normally at the house.
As far as this family and fast food - we do have it, but almost never just at home. When it's getting late and we're *somewhere* out going to or from somewhere else, yes. And that happens perhaps more often than it should.
Hang on, I'm being hailed away...

Everybody sing!
A spoonful of Soya
Helps the Vegemite go down
The Vegemite go down...
Of course if you were civilised and ate Marmite, you wouldn't need the chaser.
Is that Richard Dawkins on drums? My admiration of the man grows by leaps and bounds!
