Thanks! I'm glad to see I'm still remembered here, despite the fact I don't post nearly as much as I used to... With the exception of that Lovecraft thread (which I couldn't resist replying to) I've been pretty mum around here lately. This has nothing to do with any animosity I hold towards the forums, rather, I've just been spending a lot of my online time elsewhere... My Livejournal(s), for example, or the website for my Lovecraftian secret society (we're up to 4 members! Sure, I'm 3 of them, but I see this as an encouraging sign of growth). Anyway, it was a low-key birthday... My parents got me some CDs (including some of the remastered Siouxsie & the Banshees reissues and the new Current 93 album) while my brothers got me DVDs, one of which was "Breakfast on Pluto" (I've developed a Cillian Murphy fetish as of recently. "28 Days Later" is a classic film).
It's been mainly business as usual: Still living with my parents (though I have close to $4000 saved up now), still working at Barnes & Noble (got promoted to magazine lead recently, which is good... more time in the backroom, less time dealing with doltish customers), still working on music and writing (almost done a new album, and the book I'm working on is up to around page 240 or so). I've been listening to a lot of music as always: New Ministry, new Whitehouse, Gwen Stefani, Wendy Carlos, Sunn0))), Wolf Eyes, Art of Noise, Rock Kills Kid, SJ, the Residents... Oh yeah, I'm really loving the new Paris Hilton single also (really looking foward to her debut, along with the new Throbbing Gristle... 2006 has been a VERY good year for music so far). As usual, my sexual identity is a big question mark. I mentioned Cillian Murphy above but I've still got a hardcore fetish for large-breasted Japanese women of the type normally seen on Scanlover (and don't even get me started on 80's period Kitten Natividad!). Hey, Steve Carell was pretty loveable in "The 40 year old Virgin", and I'm way nerdier then he is! I don't spend that much time thinking about sex as I used to, however. Sometimes you need to just let things happen on their own and try to not let your conscious mind interfere or try to influence events.
Right... Momaw Nadon totally rocks. My all-time favorite Star Wars character, Mon Mothma being a close second.
Here's a video that shows what I'll probably be up to in about 23 years from now when I'm some pretentious geezer:

PS. If you've never read Lautreamont's "Maldoror", you really should. It was a huge influence on the surrealists, and it's one of the few books I can think of out there that features a main character who has sex with a shark. It's one of the best books ever IMO.
Also, I think it's really cool that Trent Reznor and Peter Murphy have put aside their differences and joined forces after all these angst-filled years (man, talk about a goth wet dream, that) but really, Trent should never try to sing "Sanity Assassin" again, and Murphy should stay as far away as possible from "Head Like a Hole". And what the fuck has Trent done with his hair? He looks like a wimpier Henry Rollins. Nice biceps though.
