Hello all, wondering if you higher level folk have majored in Hand to Hand and think if its good enough to bother or do weapons just kick ass? Am I comparing apples to oranges?

Its a fairly decent offense when fighting against something one on one. The major benefit of hand to hand is the skill goes up real fast, and as a result, you can gain a lot of levels really fast. I gained 12 levels just getting hand to hand up in one day.

Not to mention... once someone has been knocked down... you can pummel them. If they get back up, then their fatigue will be so low that they'll fall after another hit or two.
If you are in a hurry you can knock them down and then pull out a melee weapon to finish them quickly.
So YES, it is a useful skill :idea:

And strangely enough, while it is impossible to hit certain creatures without a silver-or-better weapon, you can still strike them with yr fist! Go figure...

I was about to suggest that it would be a disadvantage later on when you'd normally be using enchanted weapons, but it just occured to me you could enchant gauntlets with a Drain Fatigue effect.
