ok this is what you have to do now to win the fm,
go back up well you should see a haunt in grass area kill him then go to the table in the middle of the grass and get the key then start back tracking to the lift in the well go up once at the top exit that room and go to the lock door on the left and use key on it you will see a lift get on it and go to the top and read the scroll, you win :)
i think when people play a fm in a launage they cant read they automaticly think the fm is harder then it really is,if you just use your thief skills you would be surprised how easy alot of them are,

According to Silver Sorrow, the mission ends where I'm at. Besides, once here, you can't go back.

there should be a ladder in the room with the medallion back up the well, unless you in diffenrt area then i am thinking, but i know the mission ends after you go up that diangled lift "it goes real slow" to a scroll, once you read scroll the mission ends.

Yeah, I'm in a different area. Right after killing the three burricks in the round room, I dropped down a small square hole into an area with water and a water wheel and there's no going back. I guess the mission ended here for Silver Sorrow, but it won't end for me or w_hairst.
poison_the_well on 7/6/2003 at 20:53
the objective is read a scroll, konnichiwa ogenki desuka  as for where you are now have never been to that area so i think silver has got you in wrong area,if you know the area with a life in a well you have to go up that and find a locked door and read scroll ,read easy, please stop making this fm seem hard i cant belive people are having problems with it
nchw68 on 8/6/2003 at 02:50
The "problem" is that I'm trapped where I'm at, there's no way to go back. I only have a few saves so I may have to start this one over.:erg:
poison_the_well: Did the mission you played have "test release" in the title? Mine does.
poison_the_well on 8/6/2003 at 03:59
yes it is a test release  i wouls say at least 90% of jis fm's are test/alpha/beta missions.here is a small bit of thief advice sace alot, and always double check what people tell you cause you migh have been able to save yourselff the trouble of being stuck, and people please if you are not sure how to win a fm,please dont give false advice just to ay you won a fm  thief 3 is a dream come true.

For some reason, the frobbable painting next to Brother Murus doesn't frob for me. Not a big deal though, I still got into the courtyard that the key behind the painting is supposed to help with.
nchw68 on 8/6/2003 at 06:54
Now I know why the painting doesn't frob for me. It's not supposed to!
The frobbable painting is NOT in the room with the Brother Murus lookalike. It's in a room at the end of a hallway that has water on the floor. Put out the torch at the end of that hallway and the door opens.
Do you mean the door is on the left side of the table with the key? I bashed open a set of double doors next to that table and found only a brick wall. The other double doors opposite of that are unfrobbable and unbashable.
