It always strikes me just how huge Halo is ... looking at the media, you'd think it was the most important game release of the decade. It's ok as a mindless shooter, but something doesn't grok.
Those screenshots do look pretty good, and I can take your point that a new System Shock would look good with today's technology. I still remember entering the Body of the Many and seeing some hallways made out of regular hexagon airbrushes and thinking "hexagons?" ... they could have at least added a wedge or two to make it a little irregular; it's an organism after all.

Oh and, could somebody please move this to the gaming forum? It kinda feels out of place in the shock2 section.
If the objective of the poster was to compare Halo to SS2, I don't see why.
Gotta love backseat moderating.

"The black guy from Predator" :laff: Much better than his last two reviews but I guess Halo is an easy target.

I'm sorry, but this argument is just plain wrong: there are TWO black guys in Predator!

Whatever D'arcy, your forum.
Now then on to zero punctuation and my question.
Is it wrong and or evil to cackle with glee as smeone tears the supposed best game ever a structuraly serpleflirous new be-hind? For the record yes I know I probably butchered the spelling right there, but I felt like I wanted to be fancy and use the eight dollar words....plus I felt the engineer quote works in this situation.

That's exactly how I felt about the first Halo game when I played its single player. Of course, saying that Halo is dull is still just as taboo as it was then--it's just that now we're starting to get into the "rebelling against the majority is cool, too," phase.
