I don't know what 1.19 you have installed. Or what 1.19 reports you have looked at, but from what I have read and personally experienced 1.19 is so far superior to 1.18 that there is no comparison. So far 99.9% of the problems people have been having are due to them not reading the installation documentation carefully and not reading the helpful posts that have been made to assist them with their installations. I would say that 1.19 is 1000 steps forward and maybe, maybe, 1 or two steps back. There is no way I would recommend that anyone not upgrade to 1.19. It fixes so many problems.

@ downwinder: you need only the files from "new_dark.zip" and "contrib.zip" for the game. Just copy/ overwrite the contets from them into your Thief directory.

i did that sensult but as you see i posted error i get,i just cheked my thief 2 game om missions and they worked,so something is wrong with fan mission

i put 1.19 on my 1.18 thief i redownloaded mission,cleared all saves and still it dont work,i got a new computer.

Folks, could we keep the NewDark tech stuff out of this thread? Let's have this just be about the wonderful mission, and discuss getting NewDark up and running in the threads more appropriate to that topic.

I have just finished.
Something is odd, though:
I found 13 secrets, but the Stats say : 15/22 :confused:
And the objective about finding the secrets did not check either.
Anyway : top notch !

but seriously, that claim needs to backed up by screenshots or crashdumps, or it will not stand. from what I see, 95% of problems are caused by user error (not installing all the required files, placing the game into a protected location, using a butchered rip of the game etc). the only real issues I'm aware of is ffdshow dll failing to load for some users (fix already floating around the forum), and startup problems on some exotic hw configs (nv quadro, nv optimus - but quadro is not meant for gaming and optimus has issues with pretty much everything). trying to scare authors away from NewDark is extremely undesirable - the more new and shiny FMs, the better.

Thankyou Ravenhook, Drk, Brethren,Tannar, Sensut Glad everyone is enjoying the Halloween treat. I have to bother Jason at thiefmissions one more time with an update. I had to fix an untruncated diary text, and fix a couple textures that were overlooked during testing. I have moved the strings folder into the root folder so it works with Fm-Selector. Also updated the readme. Sorry Jason !

14 ??? Odd. I found the list, but it includes only 12. Is one of them not listed?
I am having problem identifying #4 on the list and #13 is not even listed.
The place where you find the list would be #14 off course.
