I have a same problem as clearing and cattamer, but even using Darkloader.
I can chose Trick Or Treat, run the mission, but original first Thief 2 mission starts instead.

darthsLair has asked me to move the Strings folder around and re-zip the mission. Thanks to Sensut for testing; this version is now live. The link is unchanged.

Yes, just move that Strings folder to the root, and everything will be OK. Just I did and working well with FM Selector as well.

i put 1.19 over my 1.18 and game still did not work,do i drop the 2 files into thief director or the contents of those 2 folders? and why have more folders in patch if i dont use them,makes no sence,i am going to try to put more of those files into my thief directory to work but i got a feeling it going to ruin my thief,but ohh well.
this is why i hate the idea if it aint broken why fix it,now i cant play the mission and i followed excalty what to do :(

You need to extract the
contents of the two folders into your new Thief installation. The extra folders are needed for Dromed I think.
