Hello,
I would like to climb up to that hatch in the fireplace of Thief: Deadly Shadows (Shalebridge Cradle!).
Any way to hack the game files or something?

Are you wanting an in game hack or do you want to break into the games engine to see what’s behind that hatch
For a simple hack you could try experimenting with your run speed factor in the Sneaky Upgrade tweaks, as well as a few other SU tweaks.
To actually break into the games engine there’s a little program Snobel made for me to break into T3 missions to find all the loot, keys, levers etc.
Its a bit of a pain working out how to use it initially but once you’ve got the hang of it you can fly around any of the maps by no clipping through the walls, up fireplaces, through hatch doors etc.
Loothunter:- (

I’ll see if I still have my old notes for this program (they’re on an old HD somewhere), but I know they are out of date as were made for version 1&2, but I should be able to amend them to help you if you need advise.
PM me if you need any further help.

Hello,
I want to find out and see what is behind the hatch. Today I already found out that if you get the game to glitch, in the museum level there is a guard sitting on a chair on the roof of the building (above the elevator, in the hall where the "eye" can be found).
Since I've heard that the hatch in the cradle actually was planned to be a secondary entrance to the building, there may be more behind it. Could be something creepy!

can someone please show footage of these things

Seems like Loothunter is not compatible with the patch though. It opens the original game after running the installer, and I cannot find the executable. In an online cafe right now, so maybe the PC restrictions are the reason...
... played around with the physics, too. They are funny, but do not seem to make the hatch reachable.

When you run the installer the dialog box gives you a few options, check the following-
Loothunter:-
In the Original Game
Miscellaneous:-
Make AI's Ignore Me
Desktop Icons:-
For this Installer
For Loothunter
For the Read Me file
Once installed the read me files give basic instructions for finding loot, keys etc, but what you want to do is 'Fly' around the map, so once all installed run the Loothunter program from the blue icon on your desktop and the game will start as you have discovered, load a save anywhere inside Shalesbridge Cradle so you in the right place to start with, then you need to open the console, but there are no instruction for this in the Read Me file.....
Use:-
Ctrl + ' (apostrophe)
A dialog box opens, type in FLY (use lower case) and then 'enter', now you are then in no clip mode and you can fly around the map, through walls and up chimney breasts by using the usually WASD keys. You can't do anything whilst in FLY mode so to return to the game bring up the console again and type in LAND, if you have checked the miscellaneous 'Make AI's ignore me' in the installer you'll be able to walk around unmolested.
If you still are have difficulties post a save from somewhere in Shalesbridge Cradle itself and I'll check out the fireplace for you (don't have any saves available).
Your saves are in your main T3 folder, but please zip up all of the components of that save otherwise I'll need to d/l 11 or 12 files.

My savegames probably aren't worth a lot since I use the patched version. But there are some savegames available here:

(Sorry, direct link does not seem to work)
If you could have a look, I would really appreciate it!

I don't know why you don't think your saves will work, patched or not, LH is just a simple tool for breaking into the map, it should work regardless.
I loaded a save from that d/l but seeing I haven't played the OM for years I'm flying around completely blind not knowing where this fireplace is, but looking at the building from the skybox there doesn't appear to be any secret entrances.

Hey,
it's in the outer cradle. If you remember the attic, which is the highest point in the outer cradle AFAIK, it is very close to the fireplace.
The fireplace itself is in the room with all the beds.
Botched description, I know. Is it helping?
