You see an enemy, and BANG! He's dead. Makes perfect sense to me.
Lytha on 9/9/2003 at 15:22
Well, yeah. But if it needs to be activated by is thoughts, and given that he seems to be such a SLOW thinker - that makes no sense. ;)

Damn, he was one of my favorite voice actors in Deus Ex. My condolences also :(.
Child of Karras on 12/9/2003 at 01:58
Damn. RIP Mr. Hermann.
Loké on 12/9/2003 at 16:21
what did he die of?
Ayearepee on 15/11/2003 at 23:44
That's a damn shame. Hermann's character was strangely sympathetic - he was one of the few people in the game who didn't have a hidden agenda, he believed that he was doing the right thing, and there was the whole thang with Anna - moreso because of the voice. I'll feel worse about killing him next time I play the game now.
I'm sure this has been noticed before, but 'G. Hermann' seems like a terrible pun on 'German'. I was under the impression that he was supposed to be a stereotypical muscleman, i.e. not very bright, hence the bad spelling and so forth (I also assumed that, in this world of the future, Gunther would not have to type, as he is part-machine and could thus interface with computers directly).

"I wanted Orange, it gave me Lemon-Lime."
That's one classic conversation!
Rest in Peace Jeff. :(

Or rather, 'I vanted oranj! It gaf me lemon-lime! Zey do zat on pourpurse', etc.

Hmmm, a convincing explanation, except that he is an
extremely accurate pistol shot, as seen when you give him one on liberty island...possible slight inconsitency then.
Ayearepee on 16/11/2003 at 19:52
Then again, to fire a pistol well you need good eyesight, a decisive trigger finger and rock-steady hands, something Gunther seems designed for. I imagine his hands would feel as if he we wearing arctic gloves; not detrimental to aiming and firing a pistol, but terrible for composing letters to Mr Manderley.
