Certainly, as a musical contest, it's sorely lacking; it must be a good decade or more since I recall seeing a song that contained anything approaching artistic merit on the show. Perhaps the EUROVISION POLITICAL COLD SHOULDER CONTEST would be a better title?

Well, I totally agree with you! Usually I don't give a shit about this stupid europop contest either, in fact this was the first time ever when I've watched the whole thing from the beginning to the end. But there are actually some narrow-minded religious freaks in Europe who wanted to prevent Lordi from entering this year's contest, because apparently the band members are "evil satanists" or something... :cheeky: I bet those people must be pretty pissed off right now and that's just great!

Heh, yeah, I have a friend that's rather religious and he was a bit ambivalent about us winning last night as we sat in a crowded club and watched the votes rolling in on a big projector-screen. "Damn, looks like the forces of evil are winning this one, eh buddy?" I said and went to buy us more drinks. If the Arocalypse was comming I wanted to be wasted. Of course, the dancefloor didn't split open to the fires of hell and Satan didn't show up, but it was a pretty good night anyway.
