I heard on another forum that Nightwish got their start as Finland's entry on Eurovision as Ace of Base did for Sweden. Is that right?
I have to say, in terms of looking silly and rocking out the Mummies beat the pants (or whatever it is they wear) off Lordi, and on the cheap for that matter.

I've heard the same thing. It makes sense. I've always been a bit partial to Nightwish. In fact Lordi's performance almost kinda sounded a bit like them to me...Excluding the guys voice...

That's not quite what I meant.... Alow me to rephrase...they reminded me of Nightwish. It might have been the opera-like sound to them...Or that they're from Finland...who knows?
