Or maybe it's just that my idea of "do whatever you want" isn't really the same as "kill people in thousands of ways".
The more you post the more of a twit you reveal yourself to be. Have you played any GTAs or have you just been exposed to too much Thompson / Fox / Daily Mail circlejerking?
Aja on 23/4/2008 at 22:41
I'm not offended by it. I can appreciate what they're doing, I just don't think it's fun.
I've spent a few hours playing GTAIII and then several more watching a friend play San Andreas. I'm not going to subject myself to it any further just because YOU call me a twit.

They handle very poorly. Very
fakely. Play
Driver and you'll see what I mean -- that game did it very well.
You are obviously missing the point of the game slightly if you are worried about the realism of the handling. Its never meant to be a driving simulation.

What Yell said. And I'm calling you out because of your stupid stupid stupid "1000s of ways" comment. You missed the point because you were facing in the wrong direction.
Gaaaaah Scots. Warn us that it's the intro. I don't want it spoiled! There are few games that bring this movie-like quality to them. The hype for this is too much, but you got to ask yourself how wise it would be to bring a film out on cinema at the same time as this game. Has Ironman's release been moved?

Oh please, you can't justify poor controls by claiming they aren't the focus of the game. If there's more to GTA than driving around and killing people, I haven't seen it. I went and watched a bunch of Vice City missions on Youtube to see if I've missed something, but (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTAX7vW0oJI&feature=related) nope!
In fact, it doesn't even really matter
what you're doing when the control mechanics are so bad. And again, THAT'S why I'm kinda looking forward to the new one, because it seems as though they've put more effort in this time 'round.

I swore I'd never play GTA on a console again and I didn't think the controls were so bad...
Maybe you just suck.
Aja on 24/4/2008 at 01:15
When I say poor, I mean unpolished. The player animates unrealistically, the cars have floaty physics, and the whole thing strikes me as very gamey and unsatisfying. Of course anyone might feel differently, but I like the characters I control to have more substance, more weight to them (like skate, for example).
