Just got this in the mail today. It's great! Although after having played Assasin's Creed and Mass Effect the graphics were suprisingly dissapointing. Don't get me wrong, I realise that GTA games have never been completely cutting edge graphics wise, and besides, they're still great, but not amazing when compared to what other games are achieving out there...
EDIT: Impressions after 3 hours: Fighting hand to hand is hard, getting hit by cars is freakin' awesome!

Hand to hand isn't bad if you lock on. You can do a flurry combo just after dodging if your timing is right that will lay out most folks in one go.

I -LOVE- the mobile in the game.
Really makes the story and social interaction with main characters feel more natural and casual, not just in-mission.
We need to get down with some MP sessions, yo!

Played GTA IV on my mates PS3 and meh graphics are ok even on a HDTV but I rather wait for the PC version

Are the graphics really going to improve on PC? I didn't think they were any better on SA compared to the console versions. Like I said though, it seems GTA games have always had so-so graphics.
God-damn the combat in this game is satisfying, its fucking intense when you get into some of the really heavy missions.
And I think it's fair to say that Nico is undoubtedly the best lead in any GTA game so far.

That's probably due to it being a tradeoff with the large playing space and lots of stuff going on.
