Yup, anyone who's in the game and in the TTLG crew should be able to join the session I'm in. If not, send me a Steam message and I'll invite you.

Managed to make it this week and was a great introduction to GTA Online. Looking forward to joining in again for the next session if possible :)

It's been fun playing with you, Al_B. :) It seems that there's an increasing number (okay, increasing slowly) of TTLGers playing GTA Online, and the Rockstar Social Club crew can be joined by anyone. I generally promote all the TTLG folks who join so they can also invite others, okay them etc.

Very briefly: I'll probably be organising a TTLG session again on Saturday 6 August, 4-6pm UK time. Would be fun to have some new faces there as well! GTA Online, especially if you're new to it, vastly improves if you're playing with friends rather than with cheating randos that will set you on fire while you're in your car. On the other side of the map. Under water.
Also, I'm not altogether convinced by the Cunning Stunts DLC. The races are fun, but I suspect they might get old fast; the driving engine isn't ideal for Trackmania-like crazy stunts, and the camera is definitely not designed for loops and the like. It's not terrible, but there's something just a bit off. In addition, at least the couple of tracks I played were pretty long, but I think this kind of track works better in shorter bursts. For the occasional crazy race, definitely, but not something I'll play on a regular basis.

I'm pretty sure there was a ten year old on my session swearing like a west coast gangsta. That said, yogscast GTA V videos are full of it, as is most of gaming YouTube land. I've rarely found streamers who don't use coarse language every other sentence.

I hate those screaming, squeaky ten year old kids. I remember a game of Left 4 Dead where I was teamed up with one of them, and I was hoping to be turned into an infected so I could sink my teeth into his cranium and shut him up, or to leave him screaming on the roof of a hospital with me waving goodbye from a chopper.

Looks like (
http://gamerant.com/red-dead-redemption-remaster-screenshot-leak-805/) that
Red Dead Redemption remaster rumour is once again making the rounds... If this actually happens and the game inded comes out on PC as well, this could make for a nice coop follow-up to
GTA V. I'd definitely enjoy riding out with my TTLG posse.

HMM!
That article is 3 months old btw, but here's one (
https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2016/09/06/red-dead-redemption-pc-remaster-rumour/#more-395639) from today.
Quote:
Korean site Game Focus has word of a rumour that Red Dead Redemption is being revamped for re-release on PC and those there new consoles. They say they expect it'll be announced at Sony's PlayStation Meeting event on Wednesday, then launch in the first half of 2017. Game Focus seem to give no firm sources so it might be a load of tosh. Their focus on Asian localisations specifically does make it seem a touch more substantial than the usual Red Dead rumours but yeah, this could be nonsense.
R* did recently port The Warriors, Manhunt, and a bunch of old GTAs to PS4, so I guess a RDR remaster wouldn't be the craziest thing to ever happen. They should totally port The Warriors to PC as well. Perhaps the best game-based-on-a-movie I've ever played, that one.
Thirith on 6/9/2016 at 12:03
The Warriors is worth checking out then? I might look into the PS4 port/emulation you mentioned.
Thanks for the correction re: my link; I'd seen the rumour on Facebook and grabbed one of the first things off Google without double-checking. In any case, RDR on PC would be great. It's such a wonderful world to be in, and I remember the MP being great fun as well.

I remember the MP being level-up bullshit where experienced players with golden revolvers would one-shot kill me while I tried in vain to put a dent in them with my low-level weapons. Not a fan. Never tried the co-op but hopefully that's better.
