Maybe you shouldn't have been the barracks batty boy then?

Kinda what happened in AC revelations...I felt like they'd decided to have a female protagonist just for the purpose of shoehorning in some diversity.

Guys, we gotta talk about something. I've not wanted to bring it up earlier, because I thought maybe I just needed more time to adjust. Maybe it wasn't the game, but me. But I just went back and played a bit of GTA 4 to confirm that it wasn't just a case of rose-tinted glasses for the old days. It pains my heart to say this, but they've made the motorbike handling worse. It's a lot more aradey and stiff now. The bikes in GTA 5 feel more like the bikes in the Midnight Club games than those in GTA 4. And, sure, I liked the bikes in the Midnight Club games, but I loved the bikes in GTA 4. The car handling is more arcadey in this one as well, but that doesn't bother me as much as the bikes because so few games does bike handling decently. GTA 4 had the most fun-to-drive bikes since Motocross Madness 2 (from 2000), and now they've decided to go and dumb it down, make it more arcadey and easy because I guess a lot of people had a problem with how the bikes handled in 4. Fuck's sake. Do you know how much I was looking forward to just driving a dirtbike around the huge rural areas of 5? Yeah, I still can, but it just won't be the same.
I know most people probably won't have an issue with this, perhaps even welcome more arcadey handling, but for me it's a huge bummer. :(

Wish I could say I feel for you, but I never take the bikes unless I have to. They're uncannily able to make me throw the controller at the wall every time a GTA game has forced a bike chase/shootout sequence, so I never hop onto one unless it's for a quick ride off a slope and into a pier, which is my way of quitting the game.

Interestingly enough I fucking love GTA's bikes. I go everywhere with 'em. They're great for exploring.

For Vice City and San Andreas, I mostly rode the bikes because they handled better at high speeds than the cars, and I found them easier to control than cars. But, that was with a keyboard and mouse. Since finally playing GTA IV, I've been wondering if it was the Xbox controller or just me that couldn't quite get the same handling out of the cycles.

It's just you, mostly. I play GTA exclusively with a controller (yes, even on PC) and while it's much more slippery in the original Vice City, the motorcycle handling in the other games is smooooof as butta.
