The thing is I dont have the originals anymore, only the Steam versions (which have been removed, although if you previously owned them you can still play) which are ports in themselves with the same radio tracks removed also. I have the original PC San Andreas dvd but its physically broken and wont work anymore.
So to actually play the originals on pc is a tough ask, I had hopes for these remasters but damn son.
There's fan patch for that.

Apparently Vice City on Steam still has the full soundtrack.

Spending the hour or so to install all of the fan patches and misc mods I'd say is worth it for the superior play experience.
The controls for the OG console versions aged really poorly (actually the targeting systems were awful when the games were new, IMO). I'd recommend the OG PC ports just for mouse aim.

Yeh I much prefer the keys/mouse controls on pc vs console. Thanks for the links.

At least this is providing a lot of material for this week's Highlight Reel.

I wish more companies would look at the way Nightdive does remasters, because that's all 3-D era games really need. Updates to run on modern hardware/OSes, some modern A/V and control options, and subtle/optional model/texture updates in the spirit of the original. And if anything, add content instead of removing it.
The bare minimum is too high of an expectation of companies run by Boomer executives and shareholders.

There's some irony that a franchise called Grand Theft would eventually try to steal from its customers.
They must be smoking something pretty strong over at Rockstar.

Seems more like the exact opposite of irony.
