(
http://www.grooveshark.com) www.grooveshark.com
* Works worldwide
* Users upload songs, this means that most everything is on there. But it also means that the audioquality is inconsistent, titles aren't always correct and tracks might be missing from albums. And I'm not sure about the legality of this thing. Likely it will go the way of muxtape. But hey, it works for now!
* Registration is optional and it runs through your browser, no download neccessary. So you can start listening to music right away by simply typing in the name of a song/artist/album.
* Playlists! ((
http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/playlist/Raindogg+s+Horrible+Fanfare/28158171) here's one of mine)
* Ads are visual only, no audio-commercials inbetween the tracks.

While I'd normally agree with you on this, given that this site is effectively one big online music player app, I can totally understand the all-flash route.
Or are you hating on it cause you have an iPhone?

I'm not sure about the legality of this thing
From their copyright info:
"It is our policy to honor all takedown requests that comply with the requirements of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws.
We strongly suggest that you contact us at licensing (at) grooveshark (dot) com before filing a DMCA infringement claim. Grooveshark has an artists/label program to ensure that any owner of content will be compensated fairly for each time their content is played via Grooveshark. To be clear, as long as your infringement claim complies with the terms of the DMCA we will honor it, however we would much rather pay you than remove your content."
In short, they're not paying by default, which I suspect is illegal - but as always, IANAL.

So basically "we will keep breaking the law until someone tells us to stop."
