Gotta head out.
Gotta head up a committee.
What a pity.
The world's gone shitty.
Gonna head in.
Head first, head's up.
Keep a cool head.
Head over to the front a' the room.
Head's down.
Gotta pray for a better day.
We have our say.
Say our piece.
Find a little peace.
Head back home.
From the city.
On a bus, with a Gloomy Gus.
What's the fuss?
Damn! S'all gone shitty...
It ain't pretty.
No no! It ain't pretty.

I admit I've never experienced the murder of a loved one but I just don't understand the reactions of the victim's parents.
"McLean's father said he is also disappointed with the ruling.
"We've all lost a family member," he told CBC. "This isn't the right result."
What is the "right result"? Does the father want the guy put in jail, does he want him executed? Would any of those outcomes make him any happier? The victim's whole family thinks that being locked in a mental institution is a day at the spa:
"The bottom line is, he is getting away with murder," Vana Smart, McLean's sister, told CBC.
It seems to me that Vincent Li did something that could be considered very crazy and admitting him to a mental hospital is the "right result". Maybe that's just me.

Oh, you know, there's quite a number of people who'd like to see any aberrant human erased, especially after devastating personal loss.

It's probably less about a day at the spa but the fact that the murderer is not held responsible in the true sense of the word might infuriate friends and family. But if the guy's obviously nuts, then locking him up for good in a mental institute is the right thing.

Thing is, though, I'm not convinced one iota that any of us can predict how we would act or feel if it was our loved one missing a head, no matter how holier-than-thou we may feel posting about it on the Internet.

Yes of course everyone would react like they do, if they're personally concerned. That still doesn't make it right to put a mentally ill person into jail. And it raises the question if that kind of information is newsworthy. Especially with an accompanying video clip:
