I'm glad to hear somebody agree with me on this here. I could hear crickets when I gushed before.
I agree, but I was actually thinking: "WTF? Clutch has nothing to do with Alice in Chains."
Saw them in '94 or so when they opened for Sepultura and Fear Factory. Kickass show.
My list?
Chemical Brothers -
Exit Planet DustA Tribe Called Quest -
People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of RhythmFugazi -
RepeaterThe Black Keys -
The Big Come UpWarrior Soul -
Last Decade/Dead CenturySuicidal Tendencies -
S/TOh yeah, and that Jimi guy's
Are You Experienced? should be number one for everyone.
There probably isn't a bigger Clash or Ramones fan on these boards than me, but I can't put either of their debuts on the list, if only because they each blew them away later: The Ramones by doing the same shit, only better, on Rocket to Russia, and the Clash by throwing down the gauntlet with London Calling). Besides, two of the best songs on the Clash's first album (White Man in Hammersmith Palais, and Jail Guitar Doors) weren't really on the Clash's first album.

Yeah, but since she had already released albums as a member of the 'cubes, her debut solo album (er, 'Debut') isn't her debut album, merely her first outing on her own.
Otherwise you could pick albums by all manner of artists who have broken away from successful bands to forge solo careers.

You don't like Static X at all? Not any? Not even on a primal level? They do it some.
I've only heard one song by Static-X on their BBB album that even loosely resembled a sort of rap. Even then it was very loose. I'm a big Static-X/Industrial Rock fan and I haven't really heard much of their newest album
start a war. Would you recommend it?
I've heard it's not that great and falls very far from the traditional Static-X tree. That's ok for me because change aint always bad....

Good advice. You should follow it.

With the help of her stepfather, who played guitar, she recorded her eponymous debut in 1977. This album featured several Icelandic children's songs, and covers of popular songs such as the Beatles' The Fool on the Hill, sung in Icelandic. Later it was said to have been a smash hit in Iceland; While this is an exaggeration, the album was still a modest success.

Ho man, I just got to take this opportunity to say that the new Tool album is utter, utter shit. I won't go into why or how, because I'd be here all day, all the way up to the goofy SPECTROSCOPIC LENSES ON THE FUCKING FRONT COVER and that I am totally grown out of this band once and for all. Also, fuck Tool fans. Fuck them up their stupid asses.
Although in drunken moments of sincerity I may return to the older material now and then.

There are some good songs on the new Tool album, but it's definitely not their best one.
Noid is just overreacting again.
