A few that I believe are right up there
Guns n Roses /Appetite for Destruction
Alice in Chains / Facelift
Cinderella /Night songs
Skid Row / Skid Row
Stone Roses / Stone Roses
Pearl Jam / Ten
I knew from the first time I ever heard these that they would be on my all time favorites list.
Whats your top 5?

I don't play the "OF ALL TIME" game.
Good debuts are:
Interpol - Turn Out The Bright Lights
Zero 7 - Simple Things

"Of All Time"
is a tough thing to do.
Too many options. So, I'll just mention some important ones to me...
I'd prob. come up with different ones tomorrow.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - "Are You Experienced?"
Eagles - "Eagles"
The Doors - "The Doors"
The Beatles - "Meet The Beatles" (US debut album)
Sex Pistols - "Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols"
plus... couple of extra
(
http://www.dreadzeppelin.com/) Dread Zeppelin - "Un-Led-Ed" - 1989
Paul Anka - "Paul Anka" - 1958
(been thinking alot about (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106070) Paul Anka lately...
don't understand why...)

Bob Newhart's first album
The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart sold more copies than any other artist of the era, and exceeded the sales of Beatles or Presley records.
In the last 40 years it has been on the list of most popular record, reaching a low of 20th in 1999.
As a "debut" it beat the crap out of any then and following.

The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium is pretty rockin for a first album but for some reason it doesn't feel like it counts.
