HI. Im lvl 11 battlemage and I wish join a great house.
Which is the better house?
is it better join later or now?
I finish the quest on the caves where I got the cropurs curse.
Morrowind is the best rpg I ever played. Im playing on Xbox and now got it to PC to play the 2 expansions (Tribunal and the bloodmoon):D

Exactly what I did. PC is much better!
As for the houses, Telvanni is more for wizards but you can join even if you aren't one. Each Great House provides a stronghold (you'll be instructed on how to build it once you get to a high enough level.)
What sets the houses apart? As far as I know, not that much. In the Telvanni House you have to kill a lot of rival Wizards. Hlaalu house is fairly calm and you don't really do much in the way of mass killings. I'm not sure about the Redoran House as I've never actually been a part of it.

if ya lookin for the better stronghold either pick Redoran or Hlaalu but if ya lookin for the one that suits ya char then redoran is for warriors, Hlaalu is for thieves and Telvanni is for mages but pick the one ya want or save ya game, pick one and if ya don't like it, reload and pick another

Although it isn't actually nessecary to be of any particlar class-type to join a Great House, you'll find that the nature of the missions and rewards is tailored to a particular type of character.
Warrior = Redoran
Thief = Hlaalu
Mage = Telvanni
Also, as regards roleplaying, a lot should depend on the nature of your character. If you were a sneaky and aquisitive player, it would be difficult to get along with the Redoran, while an honourable and upright character would frequently be at odds with the majority of Telvannni. But it's up to you.

actually bub, in a way it depends on what a char is but also what skills ya give him, basically if ya picked a warrior char, jus coz he's a warrior doesn't mean Redoran is best for him, it's what ya want ya char to be, so if I want my warrior char to be a warrior/mage I would get my magic skills up and join the Telvanni...IMO I think it's a matter of choice, the one ya like and the one ya want and as I said before, save before joinin any, joinmone and if ya don't like the house, reload and join another
it maybe time consumin but it's worth it

*silently counts the periods in shadowj's last reply*
I didn't know Redoran was for warriors. The Hlaalu stronghold is closer to Balmora so that's a plus, even if you aren't a theif. I think it's possible to join Hlaalu and Redoran (I joined Hlaalu and never interfered with House Redoran at all.)

That'd be pretty sweet if people started using Bub.
I 3> wolverine.

It is impossible to be a member of more than 1 Great House, save by using a plugin. Loyalty means a lot to those guys.

EDIT: It just occured to me that it may be possible to join multiple Houses using the console. Cheater. :p

there's also a bug letting you join two :eek:

Thanks for the reply guys.
join in a house dont interfere in the main quest right?
I joined in redoran and whem I enter in a mage guild, everyone attack me. hehehe
My sneak/security skill is terrible low and to join in Haalu I think will be very diifficult to pass their quests..
I think the only choose to me is Telvanni. Its a good way I raise my magic skils.
Can I join on the Legion too?
Thanks
