This thread is for discussion on ideas for gray-goo UC-created monsters in Deus Ex 2, as well as any mechanical monster ideas. For example, at the moment there are only:
Attack Dogs (these arn't really monsters but what the hell),
Greasels (small green spitting-cobra/chicken combination),
Karkians (rat creatures with huge jaws the size of a lion),
Spider-bots (robotic Emp-ray-shooting spiders, either small or gigantic),
Three types of security bot, small, medium and large,
Gray Aliens (that shoot purple psi-rays).
Should they be in the sequel? Should any of them be changed in any way? Can you think of any new ones?

Bump.

I might as well throw something in.
I'm all for new types of creatures, perhaps bioengineered to act as security or some such.
For example, the guard dogs in DX1. Their behavior was really kind of basic (walk around in a patrol or at random, respond if attacked). But, if they could be given a sort of hunter-seeker behavior (tracking you via your scent), and they would bark to alert nearby troops if they found you, that would be cool.
And, of course, spiders of all kinds = teh uberscary.

Would cybernetically enhanced spiders be scarier? This is the future, after all.

Remembers the spider boss from DOOM...

It's been ages since I played Doom, but I recall the boss was two Cyber-goat-demons. Perhaps a giant spider-demon was in one of the sequels?

DOOM had three episodes: Knee-deep in the Dead, Shores of Hell and Inferno. Spider Demon was in Inferno.
... And what comes to new enemies in DX2, it would be interesting to confront some failured augmentation experiments. They got Paul, JC and Alex right, but how many went wrong before them?

Doom had FOUR episodes. Knee Deep in the Dead, Shores of Hell, Inferno, AND Thy Flesh Consumed.
Sorry, but doom was my one and only FAVORITE game for a LONG TIME. At least until i got a PII computer. Yes i had a 486 for that long. I played Red Alert on a 486!!! WOW i can't believe it even ran...
k sorry.

I stand corrected. ;)

I thought a flying enemy would be good........some kind of big Mama Greasel with huge working wings perhaps?
As for failed bio-experiments, do you mean like the Ripley clone lab in Alien Resurrection?
