New computer, I'm having the same problems described in the posts belove.
(sorry, I don't know how to take screenshots with DDFix installed)

My system:
Intel i5 Quad core - Sapphire 4890 VaporX - Windows XP Home SP2
I don't think that's a multicore problem, I couldn't run Thief 2 at all at the beginning, then I installed Morose Troll's fix and then Thief 2 seemed to work fine with DDFIX and the widescreen patch.
Then I installed Darkloader and four FMs:"Rose Cottage", "Eclipsed", "To Send a Message" and my own "The Tower".
I started with Rose Cottage, and it looked and worked fine. (BTW...WOW!!!:eek:)
I saved inside the house and exited to check the other three. Eclipsed refused even to start. I thought of a malfunction, so I reloaded Rose Cottage, but when exited the house the terrain texture was gone!! All the ground was violet!
I loaded "Message", and one guard was completely untextured. Then I loaded The Tower, and the house facade was exactly as shown in the post above! :(
The first OM seemed to look fine, but when I entered the house, a metal plate was untextured. (plain blue)
The malfuncion seems to appear just randomly, because I reloaded Rose Cottage today and the terrain texture was there again.
I tried to swap the DDfix and the widescreen patch, as it was suggested, but no success.
I haven't tried Thief 1 yet.
What else can I do? Please help!

1. OK, when you loaded rose cottage for the first time, did you reset thief2 back to original in darkloader..? try that and see what happens..
2. if the above did nothing then rremove, DDfix & Ws patch and use imagecfg to make your thief2.exe work in one core. check the terrain textures etc. if they are all back then do the following.
a. install ddfix
b. then install WS patch and set the FOV to 85% (not 100%)

1- Yes I did.
I'll try imagecfg, but the widescreen patch it's not really important. I can live without it since the monitor automatically switches to 4/3 ratio if the imput is like that.

BTW- What does that "video fix" (DDFix patch pop up) means? I left it unchecked.

I think it was a old fix for the in-game videos not playing, but it hasn't been relevant for a while now.

It's still relevant actually... it registers lgvid.ax every time the game starts, which I still need to do on my setup.

ah ok, but it dosent work for everyone. As i had to register the dll manually - then i didnt need to the tickbox video fix.

Here are the news: I saw (
http://ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129312) this post by clearing, and I wanted to try DDFix version 1.1.1 myself (manual version). It works! :D
The bad news is that I can't have the widescreen anymore. To tell the truth I made so many trials that I don't even remember what combination causes a specific malfuncion.:sweat:
Anyway, it doesn't work. If I install DarkWidescreen it crashes. If I try to modify the resolution in the ddfix.ini the game doesn't run at all!
I can live without the widescreen of course. The bad thing is that I can't have any higher resolution than 1024x768. If I try 1600x1200 it simply doesn't run.
Same for Thief Gold. I installed the multicore fix and Thiefixedg.exe, but I can't install DarkWidescreen. In addition, it gives me an error whenever I quit the game.
Again, I can live with it, but I'd like to know, are there any other fixes for Thief Gold?

make sure to double check that you have the same resolution in ddfix.ini and in cam.cfg..

The problem now is that the screen appears "enlarged". Is there any way to adjust the FOW?

darkwidescreen is capable of that.
