hey all I'm hoping to get some help on a really weird problem I have, it's awkward to explain but here goes,
system is a AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 620 Processor with 3g ram and a ati 5750 card, all fully upto date and for the first year or so I had it everything was running fine, however, over the last 8mths or so I've had a a recurring problem which is that around every 2mths almost timeable to the day when I run everquest2 which is more or less all I run on here the screen will drop out (best way to put it) to a screen full of two toned vertical stripes ie light then dark recurring all the way across and the whole system will freeze now the other odd thing is, this will happen again within a 2/4day period after this first freeze and then work flawless for another two months and start all over again!! is this the card starting to become faulty or is it something else? I'm very short on cash atm and don't want to spend on one thing if it's something else, I was hoping someone may have an idea or a answer as it's driving me utter mad.
I checked card temps and they never seem to go over 48 degrees so doesn't seem to be a overheating problem but I can't check when it does this as I can't get back into windows untill I switch off from the back and reboot, I assume it to be the card as there is alot of people on different forums all complaining about this card but I'm hoping to get some sort of help here before I go spending what little cash I have left.
