and why don't they have coronas in dx:iw? I loved them. *coincidental bump*

Yeah, the graphics might be nice. If it didn't run like a hog. And if the physics engine wasn't FUBAR.
Oh, and BTW, I managed to get Alex's head into the ceiling in the DX IW demo, after only a few minutes of effort. Won't take long to get screenies like yours...

Deus Ex saved it like that when I made it take a screenshot

actually... no
dx:iw has a lot better graphics. performance is a whole another deal but it IS beautiful. and dynamic lighting stuff just contributes a lot to the 'right' feeling...

i can't work out whats wrong with the textures though.. whats the colour depth on them? they look all washed out. (this may have been discussed before, soz, i only just got the demo)
Liliel on 5/12/2003 at 13:03
sincerely, you don't know how to take screenshots... all I see in your so-called "screenshots" are pitch black of nothingness...

Well, when I set my resolution to 1600x1200, then the graphics in DX:IW look pretty good. Of course, you can't do much other than take screenshots at that res, because FPS < 1. The real question is, does DX:IW look better at 800x600 and 10-20 fps than DX1 does at 1600x1200 at 30-60 fps? I don't think so. Are dynamic shadows cool enough to offset the low resolution? I don't think so.
To Uncle Bacon:
The textures are 32-bit. If you turn Bloom off, they don't look washed out to me.
