Hi,
I've experienced a couple of minor (but irritating) graphical glitches.
System: nVidia Geforce 2 MX (w/ 23.11 drivers), Windows 2000.
The glitches are:
1. Direct3D - wierd stippled pattern across the whole screen. This is especially bad when there is transparency or fog. (The same thing occurs in Thief 2).
2. OpenGL - Transparent squares and muzzle flash on pistols and the like. Also every one seems to be wearing pink eye glasses.
Does anyone know how to fix one of these?

Got the latest patch? Some D3D issues are addressed in that.

I just bought the re-released premier edition which is version 1.112fm which appears to be the most recent version.
More glitches which I forgot the 1st time:
3. OpenGL - lower half of menu buttons have a black and white checkered pattern.
[Edit: Added more info]
Running at 1280x1024 and 32 bit with highest detail settings.

Hi,
Looks like upgrading to DirectX 8.1 (instead of 8.0a) fixed the DirectX rendering glitches.

I have this pattern with my Ge2 also. Looks like a screen or a filter of some sort is covering everything. I didn't see it with Thief 2, though.
And you say the lastest version of DirectX fixed this, huh? I may just have to check that out...

Check whether you have disabled "wait for vsync" (disabled by default). it is in the (advanced) preferences (the pop up window with an expanding tree of parameters). Try wait and see if it is related to the sheer.

I dunno, the game ran perfectly on my GeForce 2 with no problems whatsoever, and I have a 1.2GHz Athlon with Windows ME and DirectX 8.1.

The only way that I have found to correct the menu items checkered pattern in dues ex is to add to the DuesEx.ini in the opengl section
UseS3TC=1
That fixes this menu bug for me.
Using winxp
amd xp 1900+
geforce 3
Dues Ex (MP patched with new opengl render)
Hope this helps some people.
