Before entering the Grand Champion match at the arena I figured it would be an epic battle, so I loaded up on potions, etc. To my surprise, the stupid Orc didn't take a single swing at me. He bolted out of the gates then stopped right infront of me. I got behind him and slashed him a few times and it was over. The battle lasted no more than 5 seconds. I was crowned Grand Champion of the Arena.... but I didn't feel like one.
This happen to anyone else?

Considered that it might be related to you discovering who he really is, and informing him of it afterwards?

Indeed, this was meant to happen. As Builder was saying:

Atleast, I assume you did his quest where you told him of his heritage. If not, then I'll also assume that he managed to figure this out by other means.[/SPOILER]

He apparently counts as innocent murdered in that case, because i got a visit from the Dark Brotherhood afterwards. Quite funny tho, everyone praising a match were one of the combatants just stands there and lets the other cut him down. I kinda expected the arena hag making a scene but she was equally impressed at my skills of hitting inanimate objects :p

Making him fight anyway could and should have been an extra option!
Or they should at least have changed people's reaction to you afterwards..
Or thrown some vile creatures at you instead (as they do after you become champ)

it was so easy. i did the entire arena in less time than i spent talking and getting my reward(which is horrible.)

The award isn't bad, I just wish it counted as just a cuirass, and not a cuirass, gauntlets, greaves, and boots.
Has anyone tried casting frenzy on him?
