A friend of mine has a band and is an accomplished guitarist....I gave him the ss midis one day for the hell of it and he liked them and wants to try doing one live (well guitar and bass, the rest will be done with some sort of effects machine thingy he has). But i wasn't able to tell him which level to do....i like a few of them including the intro and cyberspace.....what do you guys think....?
and btw this is just a thought experiment at the moment so don't get too excited or anything ;) I just want to see what level you favour most and would like to see redone live. (keep in mind the song shouldn't have too many extraneous instruments or it will end up being a midi remix)
personally i would probably pick the cyberspace song though the notes are rather fast :erg:
ATTENTION!!!
Because of my absent mindedness i screwd up the poll and can't change it......therefore "You suck! Go light yourself on fire" is now "Cyberspace" :D

I must suggest the music I live for.
THE REACTOR LEVEL MUSIC!!!!!!!!!
Aside from that, the elevator music, and the security level music, though I'm not sure it would be possible. :erm:

Elevator music?......all i have to say is....... :laff:

The best SS1 music is, hands down, the one from the Executive Level. In fact, it's the best music ever made for a computer game, period.
Although it's hard to imagine it played only with bass and guitar...

SECURITY LEVEL! Give it a real "Calm after the storm and before the upcoming one" feel.
DECK 1!
DECK 2!
You know, I can't specifically remember the deck 1 music anymore. Fuck I wish I had a chance to play the game again. Seeing as my machine is the only working one in the house with net access, and so has to always be online, and running 2K so it won't crash every 5 hours, that's not much of a prospect. Once I get some more sleep, maybe I'll play it in DOS. Hooray for boot disks. And FAT partitions.

The (

I think the Medical Level music is slightly easier to do on guitar that cyberspace, but I like the Reactor level music most :)

I knew u'd say exec D'Arcy ;)
I like security and reactor although hasn't reactor been done over several times by chicajo? Whatever my friend does he wants to put a fired up metal kind of theme into it while keeping entirely to the original notes still. Intro and cyber are complex enough that if he pulled them off they'd sound quite interesting. Reactor is also very very doeable. Security i'm guessing would be a bit harder to do without resorting to an effects processor, same with exec...what does it use mostly, flute? I'm wondering what it would sound like if you replaced that with guitar. Whatever happens....my friend's drummer partner is apparently awesome so there's gonna be some nice background in whatever he chooses....this is a tough one tho. :erg:
