I finally got max 5.1 working again (activation probs, a few different computer configurations, etc.). So I might revive some of my previous projects:
GarrAT 0.6: Garrett Animations Tweak for TDS:
(

I don't know if I have my original Inno Setup files. They may have been lost in one of my many crashes. Windows tends to eat hard drives :p I still have the max files & t3 files luckily.
EDIT: Yay! I found my inno setup files. Now I only have to bring it up to date instead of relearning how I did it in the first place :thumb:
Project Choices (Realist mod):

(

I also want to redo the AI animations and meshes, and add some classic characters to TDS like the bugbeasts, ratdudes, etc.
But we could do a total TDS overhaul & turn it into a proper sequel but that probably would not be finished until T4 comes out. I like the overhaul idea actually. Essentially we could keep the storyline, redo the city hub and be more like Baffords/Assassins/Ambush!/LotP, join the levels together, new textures and meshes, etc. But that would be too intimidating for anyone.
Until I figure out what to do I've been replaying TG & TMA for inspiration.
... & I won't mention I was kicked off the Dark Mod team (artistic conflicts and me be totally being a jerk).
EDIT: & what the hell is wrong with fleshworks?

Classic Mod

I am already working on it, as you probably have seen in the video I linked you in the private message.
So, welcome back, ascottk! :thumb:
I am sure we will be a great team!
I am working on the complete bot reconstruction under Thief 3, plus some lamp, with thief 2 noises, gutters, windows, Thief 2-like fake buildings for the skyboxes, edible food (already done), fishes(!), new CSC files with the Thief 2/1 voices added and many more.
I cannot believe you're came back and returned to your works. eheh

The realist Mod sounds nice. A less cartoony T3 would be brilliant.

Hey there ascotkk:D
Regarding animations, I tried doing this last year, couldn't get far. At least there is a link in this thread to a working rig which is used for almost every ai, maybe you have that, maybe you'll find that useful

Also I managed to join some levels. I can tell you later on what kind of problems there are when one tries to join/merge levels.

I didn't get far with that ai, I just extracted the rig. Somebody should know more about lip-synch stuff. Besides I don't have any character models to import anyway. But since almost all ai in tds uses that same rig, you can introduce new characters easily, as long as they are bipeds, not some bizarre monsters with strange formations.
Anyway, that main rig is complicated, it includes bones for the faces, eye lids, lips etc...

Working on the Dark Mod and analyzing oDD's modeling style will help a lot with that. The TDS AI have separate eye meshes like the AI I did for TDM & I think they could be darkened so they don't look so bug-eyed :wot: Also the TDS AI barely resemble the classics. I don't know how to add skins to the AI though. I just know that the skin references are built into the psk file.

I did convert some of the TDS AI so I could work on them with max. With some tweaking with max's curve editor the animations should be smoother. The GarrAT animations I worked on showed that the animators did not match the start of the anim to the end which resulted in hiccups.
A good thing about TDS anims are that they are not as picky as Doom 3's. With D3 you had to have to have the exact amount of joints for the mesh and animations or they wouldn't work. Also the height of the AI in TDS are inherited from the mesh instead of the animation. In D3 the animation determined the height of the AI (imagine having a run anim larger than the walk & the AI grew whenever he ran).
I remember discussion about joining the levels and the complications that arise with scripting. Another thing is distributing the levels which would probably be like handing out the game for free. We'd probably have to patch the new level onto the old while skipping the split level.

I'm not sure about the lip-synch stuff but copying a lip-sync file from one character to another worked.
I have a lot of experience with TDM rigging & I managed to get their belcher into the game. I have the burrick in max without a rig.

Me too I've learned how to rig. If someone needs help, just ask.
For what I've searched, lypsinc requires a proper different program to create the proper files, which is, unfortunately, no more available... :nono:

People have been asking for the rope arrow meshes so here they are!
