Why are they losing it?

Unfortunate. Thanks.

I never was much into the Tex Murphy games. I just never got into the whole live-action 'games' in the 90's.

Unlike 90% of live action games, the Tex Murphy games are also damn good adventure games. I was considering bringing this thread back up for this news too.
I already own Under a Killing Moon, but I'm waiting very impatiently for Pandora Directive and Overseer to show up on the service. They have been in my wishlist FOREVER.
And anyone who likes adventure games but doesn't own Under a Killing Moon no longer has any excuse. Even Mac/Linux users can play, so long as you have a Windows machine/partition/VM to do the initial install. Just copy it across and use Boxer or the regular DosBox distribution and run with that.

I should expand my statement. I Just couldn't get by the live-action part. It is (was) probably a personal preference problem, but I just can't get into them. I certainly could never be properly immersed in them.

I remember trying to play a future noir gumshoe game on my brother's IBM a reeely long time ago. As I recall, I had to fly a car around San Francisco? I couldn't get the hang of it, but I look forward to a Let's Play of it in the near future.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Blade Runner?

That does sound like one of the Tex Murphy games. I believe Mean Streets had a flight simulator component. Under a Killing Moon just has you selecting the destination and you insta-travel, but you still fly around San Francisco in a flying car either way :D
