Wishlisting Elite Force. That was a great game. At some point I'll have to pick that and the first Soldier Of Fortune up again.

I instantly bought Bridge Commander since I've been wanting to play it for years. Willl probably get around to Elite Force soon too.

I have Elite Force on cd-rom and have played it multiple times, but I'll be picking up Elite Force II, been wanting to play that since forever but I could never find a legal copy.

Finally got Elite Force 2, and so far it's kinda disappointing. I'm just shooting bugs and they turned the arsenal into standard FPS staples like the assault rifle and shotgun. Maybe it picks up later but I remember Elite Force 1 a lot more fondly.
Anyone try Bridge Commander? How's it run these days?

It runs just fine. The aspect ratio might need a bit tweaking, and apart from Patrick Stewart looking like a half-peeled potato man, it seems to run well by default.

Haha, that's funny, I guess they're betting on no more new versions!

They just released a $70 USD port of the Anniversary Edition to Nintendo Switch, which is just the Special Edition remaster + Creation Club paid mods bundled in.
The fact of the matter is, these constant ports and re-releases of Skyrim over the past 11 years are just their answers to market demand. People have themselves to blame by re-buying the game over and over again. Gamers get the industry that they deserve. If you buy this GOG release but already own the game on other platforms, you're still contributing to the problem.

Steam's spring sale just ended but (
https://www.gog.com/en/promo/2025_spring_sale) GOG's spring sale has only just gotten started!
I spent 12 bucks and picked up 4 games, including 3 FPSes I've been curious about for a couple decades!
Wheel of Time - already played a couple hours of this tonight. The magic-focus makes the weapons and enemies of this feel quite unique compared to most FPSes of the time. It was the second game to use the Unreal engine after Unreal 1, and it sure does look pretty with lots of colored lighting everywhere. It's very story heavy as well, being based on a series of books apparently?
Star Trek Voyager Elite Force - remember hearing lots of good things about this back in the day, and even tho Star Trek doesn't feel like a great fit for an action game, I guess Raven pulled it off anyway?
Clive Barker's Undying - I seem to remember a lot of TTLGers big-upping this back in the day.
Stranglehold - I already played through John Woo's video game follow-up to Hardboiled on the 360, but it's cheap as heck so why not have it on PC as well?
