A Thief fan called weak-ling has released a widescreen mod creatively called DarkWidescreen. It works with all versions of the first two Thief games, and System Shock 2.
Hi Larry, this is old news and is already linked up on the forum.

ok that is good.
Well I have some good news for you, if the weather is good Im gonna take my monitor (NEC 20WGX2Pro) upto Ostirig an compare to his Dell 2209WA. He is happy with it and several people have asked for me to compare it to mine and Im hoping that it will almost as good - which will be great as its half the price of the NEC...
Sorry what's this story about Ostrig???Are those monitors lcd???Could you explain me??

Yes both are LCD, I have the NEC and Ostrig has the DELL, both are IPS based monitors, mine being a AS-IPS and the other being a E-IPS, the purpose of the test is to see how the cheaper Dell will perform against the more expensive NEC.

the NEC costs £300+, the Dell under £200. I though S-PVS monitors were awesome for black leve3ls but rescently someone bought an HP 2275W and it was terrible so go figure..

It does compared to every other LCD ive tested, but obviously the place where it could be better is black levels when compared to a CRT. But the sharpness, the vibrant colours, the extra screen space, the extra space on my desk more than make up for that - I will never be going back to a crt.

Look at this review, as they say this monitor got perfect black better than any crt ever did....

Pease people look at this picture i took with my camera and tell me if this is a deep black; i set contrast to 85% (no sense go higher) and brightness to 50%, go lower make decay contrast too so it's useless...

Depth of black on an LCD screen is not something you can capture with a digital camera.
