I like a challenge so im thinking of trying hard or maybe impossible:eek: unless it really is impossible? Most games like Halflife arent even that hard on hard.
any tips on using a Navy character? im gonna max out hacking. also if im Navy can I still use the assault rifle?

You can use any weapon with any class, providing you put the appropriate amount of cyber modules into the skill relating to the weapon.
Assault rifle needs standard 6, so thats a lot of cyber modules. I got away with maxing standard and hack on hard, im not sure if you can do it on impossible though.
As the difficulty level gets higher, there are less cyber modules and more bad guys that spawn.
Impossible is not impossible, but its damn challenging at times.
I say, go for it.:cheeky:

Playing through it on Hard this time around. It's more difficult than, say, Half-Life 2 on Hard (what a joke that was) but it's not too bad.
It doesn't really matter what you invest in using your cyber modules. You can pick any field, and then attempt to max that out (just getting a little bit of everything won't get you very far I suppose) and use it correctly.

If it's the first time you're playing SS2, even the Easy mode can be quite hard, especially because you'll be spending significantly more time searching for important items.

I think more enemies spawn yes, but there are equally many cyber modules on all difficulty settings.
It would be ridiculous considering that upgrade costs increase as the difficulty gets harder.

Maybe this is only in the Straylight patch then? i could have sworn things get more expensive/there is less cyber mod.

I don't think Straylight edited anything regarding the cyber modules, by default higher difficulties raise the price of upgrades.

I'm playing on impossible now (after two times on normal). It's quite possible.
In fact, it's pretty much the same as normal, with exception that you don't have a luxury to waste modules, nanites, ammo and other equipment on things you don't really need.
Of skills, I find that maxing standard weapons is essential, and also you'll have to buy 1 heavy, 3-4 maintenance, 2-3 hack, 1 research, 1 modify.
Alternately, you can use energy as primary instead of standard, I think, energy pistol is enough to deal with normal enemies and for fatsos you have a grenade launcher.

Maxing out Std and Strength is essential for me, gives the wrench the best boost, plus I can use the assault rifle when I'm lazy or I just plain need it in extreme situations.

Do you really need to use wrench as much? There is enough of ammo in game, if you don't waste them. And if you really have to go HtH, extra swings don't take extra ammo, so you can get same results just by some extra swings. So I don't even bother to take that +35% to melee perk.
Btw, I got 6 in Std at the beginning of deck 5. Now I'm investing points here and there in techs and stats and feeling good:) Pondering now what Psy skillsto buy. I was using support skills - Regen, Cascade, Duplicate and Invisibility on Normal, but all that is too expensive on Impossible:(
Also, I noticed that I have much less hypos comparing to normal difficulty, though I nearly never use them. Probably that's because enemies drop less stuff.
